Anne Zielinski-Old studied fashion and design from 1970-73 at the University of Brighton where she later lectured, and at St Martins School of Art from 1975-1976 where she was trained by the two icons of Fashion illustration, Elizabeth Suter and Colin Barnes.
In 1993 she attended the Royal College of Art, London, undertaking a Research Degree by Project, creating multi-media imagery for video and CD-ROM with animated photographic stills and computer manipulation. Here she worked with Patric Old to create the first computer generated animated mannequin capable of displaying fashion.
Anne Zielinski-Old worked for Mattel Inc. in California 1997-1998 as an Art Director for Barbie Collectibles focusing on the concept, development and strategy for the creation and marketing of each doll she is assigned. Each new Collectible doll features a modern Icon and is presented on the cutting edge of fashion in miniature couture. In 1998 she was the Project Leader and Designer of the Elizabeth Taylor Auction Doll bought by Demi Moore. Other icons created for Mattel Inc include Princess Diana and the new Barbie design for the Fashion Model Collection. Several appearances on TV included Entertainment Tonight.
Major clients have included Harrods of Knightsbridge, Fortnum and Mason, Garrards Crown Jewelers, Burberrys, Macys, Sanger-Harris, Bullocks, The Sunday Times, Vogue, The Harvard Business Review, Cosmopolitan Magazine, Ashton Drake Galleries, The Danbury Mint, and more.
